Excited about this shoot for The Knot magazine.

A fresh new publication for the young urban girl in a nuptial state of mind.

Because you're worth it...

I've finally tracked down my favourite hairspray in Australia. I
usually reserve plenty of luggage space for it on trips to Paris or
Buenos Aires. It holds any style beautifully and brushes out
effortlessly. A backstage staple of the runways of New York, Paris &
Milan, It's now available from me in Sydney.
Pas-que je le veux bien, L'Oreal!

Time for some Autumn Gloss

Whether it's Bondi, Byron, Bali or Brazil we get our Summer Hair
inspirations from even Giselle knows that sexy beach hair needs some
trans-seasonal downtime for much needed maintenance.
Now I'm not saying Jennifer Hawkins needs to visit the salon now for a
"Dita von Teese". Just take a "less is more" approach. I like to think
of it as "letting the hair breathe". Seal over your sunburnt tresses
with a rich gloss to add a little depth and an Uptown sheen.
It's the perfect compliment to your Autumn/Winter wardrobe!
For Brunettes think Anne Hathaway's lustrous locks, while Blondes
should channel Betty Draper played by the gorgeous January Jones.

Genie in a bottle

While many of my clients with a thick dry frizzy mane that would make Grace Coddington proud have been rescued from Shaggy Dog oblivion since products like Redken Glass and John Frieda's Frizz-Ease started appearing in salons more than 20 years ago, these serums aren't for everyone. If you're a little heavy handed, then you can end up looking like a grease bucket. I've been searching for years to find a smoothing serum that is weightless but still leaving the hair soft, silky and shiny, and I've found it! Moroccan Oil contains an extract from the rare Argan Tree found in the Atlas Mountains of Morooco. It's been sold in the Medinas for millenia as a cure all and now it's my latest must-have product.
You can apply it to wet or dry hair, curly or straight to combat flyaways, frizz and dry brittle ends. When blowdried into the hair it disappears leaving it weightless nourished and restored with a red carpet ready sheen.
Get ready for a Moorish conversion, and you'll be singing it's praises from the highest minaret!

Surry Hills rocks!

I've moved my work space to Surry Hills after 15 years working out of Paddington. The whole place has a really cool vibe. Every one rocks to their own beat. Crown Street, from Oxford to Cleveland Streets is just one long shopping, dining and bar-hopping mecca. It's really easy to get into the creative headspace that I need to here, and it's understandable that so many designers and artists are based in the area.

Fergie's new hair colour

Now, I know alot of people are divided on Pop Goddess Fergie's dable with the dark side. There have been a few memorable hollywood blondes turning heads by coating their honeyed hues with a chocolate kiss. Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Platrow and Reese Witherspoon have made statements on the silver screen and the red carpet by going brunette.

But I do think that while it's great to play around with your look, have fun and every now and then take a risk, I wouldn't say this is really right for her, especially when worn sleek, straight and a little severe, it's borderline wiccan priestess. The Blonde is a younger and more playful look for her.
So if you're thinking about making the change, maybe try on some dark wigs in some different stylesand shades of brown to give you a good idea of which colour and style works best for you

However, in the end the music industry is all about selling an image of yourself, an image that has to be updated with each new album and in all the images from the new Black Eyed Peas album promos..... it works! She works it, she owns it, she rocks it out. It helps to define the sound update of the band. But this with a great stylist cool lighting etc, which sadly we mere mortals don't have at our daily disposal.
