Surry Hills rocks!
I've moved my work space to Surry Hills after 15 years working out of Paddington. The whole place has a really cool vibe. Every one rocks to their own beat. Crown Street, from Oxford to Cleveland Streets is just one long shopping, dining and bar-hopping mecca. It's really easy to get into the creative headspace that I need to here, and it's understandable that so many designers and artists are based in the area.

Fergie's new hair colour

Now, I know alot of people are divided on Pop Goddess Fergie's dable with the dark side. There have been a few memorable hollywood blondes turning heads by coating their honeyed hues with a chocolate kiss. Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Platrow and Reese Witherspoon have made statements on the silver screen and the red carpet by going brunette.
But I do think that while it's great to play around with your look, have fun and every now and then take a risk, I wouldn't say this is really right for her, especially when worn sleek, straight and a little severe, it's borderline wiccan priestess. The Blonde is a younger and more playful look for her.
So if you're thinking about making the change, maybe try on some dark wigs in some different stylesand shades of brown to give you a good idea of which colour and style works best for you

However, in the end the music industry is all about selling an image of yourself, an image that has to be updated with each new album and in all the images from the new Black Eyed Peas album promos..... it works! She works it, she owns it, she rocks it out. It helps to define the sound update of the band. But this with a great stylist cool lighting etc, which sadly we mere mortals don't have at our daily disposal.

So what's hot in hair now?

So this week with alot of clients coming in with post-summer hair, the question is
"How do I look fresh for winter? I want something fresh with some clean lines without going too drastic..."
A hot winter trend is slighty concave, just off the shoulder. Blunt with some sexy texture rather than lots of layers a la Gwyneth, Sarah Murdoch and Jessica Biel.

The length leaves you with some versatility to style it up, straight and also some hot loosed textured waves.
